TKC Day nursery Heald Green, is located at The Life Church, Outwood Road. Our child-led play environment stimulates little imaginations. Extensive play resources are available to excite and inspire children to play and learn together or independently. With an abundance of adventures and experiences including creative art, cooking and imaginative play, every child can learn naturally through enjoyment, play and socialising with others.
Our location enables much of our time to be spent outdoors, in our large garden, with occasional trips to the local community- developing children’s confidence, wellbeing and love of the natural world. The garden incorporates a large, artificial grass area for safer play and a soft play space for younger children, allowing lots of outdoor play and fresh air.
TKC practitioners use creative approaches to help the children develop key skills such as numeracy, literacy, or fine motor skills, transitioning towards school readiness. As the most important people in their child’s life, our parent/carers are kept closely involved through Parent Chats, TKC News and daily updates from their child’s key worker verbally or via the TKC app. Take a look at some of the fun things we have been doing this term.
Our menus, approved by a dietician, are both healthy and expose the children to the most amazing foods and flavours from around the world.

From September 2022 TKC have places available for those receiving 2, 3 and 4- year-old childcare funding. To check your eligibility, visit the Stockport Council website.
TKC Day Nursery Heald Green is open Monday to Friday, 7.30am-6pm (all year except Bank Holidays). We now close at 1pm on Christmas Eve (applicable if Christmas Eve falls on a weekday).
